The high stales testing "boot camp" which precedes testing week, robs precious time from instruction and learning. parents must see these tests for what they are: convenient, costly, and not comprehensive.

Don't be math-phobic. Even if you were not good in math or didn't like it, make an effort to stimulate your chld's curiosity about math. All sorts of activities at home such as baking, shopping, gardening, car trips and building things are loaded with math concepts and relationships. Start early.
